Our passion for enabling everyone grow healthy hair regardless of their hair history or background stems from successfully overcoming personal hair trauma and the desire to help other women do the same. CEO's NOTE​
At the age of 7, I suffered massive hair trauma from a scalp infection. My scalp was so severely damaged that huge patches of my hair fell out leaving behind raw, sore areas of skin. As a result, I had to get my entire head of hair shaved off completely bald. At that age, I definitely got made fun of and my self esteem tanked drastically. Thankfully my grandma was dedicated to healing my scalp using lots of natural and herbal remedies for about a year and eventually I was able to start growing my hair out again
But it definitely took longer to heal my emotions....
Sadly, that was not the last time I experienced hair trauma and it became a recurring reality. However, a few years ago, I finally made a turnaround when I started to pay close attention to what I was putting in and doing to my hair and that's when I began to see the results I desired!
I know the pain of losing your hair. I know the discomfort of your hair being a sore topic. This is why I care and this is why, for me, IT IS NOT JUST HAIR!
